A trapezoid has a set of parallel bases with lengths 3 inches and 5 inches and a height of 8 inches. What is the area of the trapezoid?

    Area of trapezium = 1/2 (a + b) h

    Area of the trapezium = 1/2 (3 + 5) x 8 = 32 in²
