If f (x) = x-1/3and g (x) = 3x+1, what is (f o g) (x) ?

    (f o g) means f (g (x))

    f (g (x)) means put g (x) for x in f (x)

    f (g (x)) = (3x+1) - 1/3

    simplified

    f (g (x)) = 3x+2 and 2/3
