A recipe calls for using 3/4 cup of brown sugar for each 2/3 cup of white sugar. How many cups of brown sugar are used per cup of white sugar?

    3/8 b = 1/3 w

    9/8 b = w

    1 and 1/8 cups of brown sugar per cup of white sugar
