    Only applicable if the triangle is right (a 90° angle measurement in one corner).

    Using Pythagorean's theorem, that can be answered.

    (4.0) ^2 + (1.7) ^2 = 18.89

    (7.7) ^2 = 59.29

    The legs A and B do NOT equal a hypotenuse of C, so the answer is NO.
