What is the scientific notation for a lenth of 0.000028?

    2.8*10^ - 5

    Scientific notation is found by finding a number between 1 up to 9.9 (but not 10).

    eg. 2.8 (place à dot in between the number and count back to the original dot)

    0.00002.8 (it moves 5 times)

    Use * 10 to indicate the position (No of 0's)

    if you move to the left, the power is -

    If you move to the right, the power is +

    Therefore 2.8*10^-5
