Find a number that, if you add 4 to it, and multiply the answer by 3, and then subtract 4, will give you 65.

    (x + 4) * 3 - 4 = 65

    3x + 12 - 4 = 65

    3x = 65 - 12 + 4

    3x = 57 |:3

    x = 19 < - - Answer

    (19+4) * 3-4 = 23*3-4 = 69-4 = 65
