    The equation: 34 - 0.5d = L

    STEPS:

    1) 34 - 0.5d = 26

    + 0.5d + 0.5d

    2) 34 = 26 + 0.5d

    -26 - 26

    3) 8 = 0.5d

    /0.5 / 0.5

    4) 16 = d

it would take 16 days for the water to be at 26 feet
