A number has the digit 2,5, and4. To the nearest 100, the number rounds to 200. What is the number?

    To start off we need to recognize that the number rounds to 200. This means that we need to choose the closest thing to 200, which would be the 2.

    Now we know that the 2 goes in the hundreds place, there is only 2 digits left, 5, and 4. Now you can't put a 5 in the tens place because then it would round it up to 300 (Anything greater than or equal to 5 gets rounded up) So that means that the 4 has to go in the tens place and the 5 in the ones place.

    The final number ends up being:
