Distribute
n + 2 + 6 = - 9 + 8n + 4
Combine like terms
n + 8 = 8n - 5
Subtract n from each side
n+8-n = 8n-n-5
8 = 7n-5
Add 5 to each side
8+5 = 7n-5+5
13 = 7n
Divide each side by 7
13/7 = 7n/7
13/7 = n
