The population of a certain geographic region is approximately 103 million and grows continuously at a relative growth rate of 1.67%. What will the population be in 5 years? Compute the answer to three significant digits.

    Ok because it only wants 3 significant digits your just take 103 and times it by the decimal form of 1.67% which is. 0167 to get 1.720, now add that to 103 and multiply by. 0167 again to get the populations after the second year (Use the population at that year to multiply by. 0167). Do the same for the 3rd, 4th and 5th years and you should end with 112 million people.
