    AB + BC = AC Segment Addition Postulate

    (5x) + (11x - 5) = 75 Substitution

    16x - 5 = 75 Simplify (add like terms)

    16x = 80 Addition Property of Equality

    x = 5 Divison Property of Equality

    AB = 5x = 5 (5) = 25

    BC = 11x - 5 = 11 (5) - 5 = 55 - 5 = 50

    Answer: AB = 25, BC = 50
