In a scale drawing of a rectangular patio, the length

is 14 inches and the width is 10 inches. In the

drawing, 4 inches represents 5 yards. What is the

length of the actual patio, in yards?

    Length is 14 inches in the diagram and 4 inches equals 5 yards in reality.

    (14 / 4) * 5 yards = 3.5 * 5 = 17.5 yards = patio length
