3 + 1 + 4 = 8
For ratio 3 = 3/8 * 48 = 18
For ratio 1 = 1/8 * 48 = 6
For ratio 4 = 4/8 * 48 = 24
So 48 in ratio 3 : 1 : 4 = 18, 6, 24
