    To find it

    find the mean

then find how much each deviates from the mean then average

    7+22+23.5+24+11+22=109.5

    6 numbers

    109.5/6=18.25

find teh distance of all of them

    7 to 18.25 is 11.25

    22 to 18.25 is 3.75

    23.5 to 18.75 is 4.75

    24 to 18.75 is 5.25

    11 to 18.75 is 7.75

    22 to 18.75 is 3.25

    take the mean of those

    (11.75+3.25+4.75+5.25+7.75+3.25) / 6=36/6=6

    mean average deviation is 6
