Add all the types of marbles:

    1+3+4 = 8 marbles in total

there are 3 out of 8 marbles

so the probability of pulling out a blue marble is 3 out of 8.

maya pulls one out so there is one less blue marble

so now the probability would be the total of marbles left over how many blue marbles there are

    so it would be 2/7
