Water is leaking out of a container. At 2:30 p. m., there are 31 pints of water in the container. At 4 p. m., there are 22 pints of water in the container. If the water continues leaking out of the container at the same rate, how much water will be in the container at 6:30 p. m.?

A. 37 Pints

B. 7 Pints

C. 17 Pints

D. 19 Pints

    At 2:30 there was 31 pints

    1 and half hours later (4pm) 9 pints of water was gone

    So if it's constant rate like they say ...

    1 hour and half after 4pm is 6:30 so you should of lost 9 more pints

    22-9 = 13 pints but that none of the choices is that so I'm not sure but that how you would do it
