In which line is a mistake first made when solving the following system of equations by elimination for x? 5x + 3y = 12 4x - 5y = 17

Line 1

25x + 15y = 60

4x - 5y = 17

Line 2

25x + 15y = 60

20x - 15y = 85

Line 3

45x = 145

Line 4

x = 29/9

    - in the second line bc. the second equation we need multiplie just by 3 and ot by 5

    - so there above was multiplied by 5 and so than 5 * (-5y) not equal - 15y so this is equal - 25y
