I do 10 - 8 for this, right ... ?

"The length of the hypotenuse of a right triangle is 10 and the length of one leg is 8. What is the length of the other leg"

    No, you would do 100 - 64 because 10^2 is 100 and 8^2 is 64.

    100-64 = 36

    The square root of 36 is 6. The length of the other leg is 6.
