First find 75% of 12, or a dozen. Divide 75 (%) by 100 to turn it into a decimal, then multiply it by 12.

    75% ⇒ 0.75

    12 * 0.75 = 9

75% of 12 is 9, so you would get 9 eggs.

Now to find the amount of eggs your friend would get, subtract 9 from 12.

    12 - 9 = 3

    Answer:

You would get 9 eggs and your friend would get 3.

(not sure how you got 8:15?)
