At a park, 96 brown bag lunches were given out in thirty minutes. If 29 bags remain and X represent the starting number of brown bag lunches, write an equation that could be used to determine the value of x?

    96=29+x

    then solve

    so you subtract 29 from both sides of the equation,

    and you would have 67=x
