    Data Set Mean MAD 1 4.3 1 2 4.9 1.2 Mean-to-MAD ratio: Data set 1: 4.3/1 = 4.3 Data set 2: 4.9/1.2 = 4.08 Mean is the average of the data set. 4.3 + 4.08 = 8.38 8.38 / 2 = 4.19 or 4.20
