    So first find the volume of the spere and the volume of the core then subtract the core from the squarere

    so

    volume of squrere formula 4/3pi times radius^3

    diameter=2radius

    diameter/2=radius

    8.5/2=radius=4.25

    4/3 times pi times 4.25^3=321.39

    inner core = 4/3 times pi times r^3

    diameter/2=6/2=radius=3

    4/3 times pi times 3^3=113.04

    subtract

    sphere-core=321.39-113.04=208.352

    round to 1 decimal place

    208.4 in^3

    the answer is 208.4 cubic inches
