The label on the car's antifreeze container claims to protect the car between - 40°C and 125°C. To convert Celsius temperature to Fahrenheit temperature, the formula is C = (F - 32). Write and solve the inequality to determine the Fahrenheit temperature range at which this antifreeze protects the car.

    Okay, so we need to plug in - 40 C and 125 C into the equation.

    -40 = (F - 32)

    Add 32 from both sides.

    -8 = F

    125 = (F - 32)

    Add 32 to both sides

    157 F

    -8>x<157 (the inequality)

    More then - 8 and less than 157 degrees Fahrenheit.

    Have a nice day!
