    Let the total number of flowers be x and remaining flowers be y

    x-18 = (3/5) x

    x - ((3/5) * x) - 18 = 0

    x + (-3/5) * x-18 = 0

    2/5*x-18 = 0

    2/5*x = 18

    x = 18/2/5

    x = 45

    total flowers = 45

    plucked flowers = 18

    remaining flowers = y = 45-18 = 27
