Tickets to a play cost $5 at the door and $4 in advance. The theater club wants to raise $400 from the play.

a.) Write and graph an inequality for the number of tickets the theater club needs to sell.

b.) If the club sells 40 tickets in advance, how many do they need to sell at the door to reach their goal?

Two students did a problem as above, but 1 used x for the 1st variable and y for the 2nd variable and the other student used x for the 2nd variable and y for the 1st variable. How did their answers differ and which one if either was incorrect?
