    Answer - 160

    Step-by-step explanation:

    2L+2W = 430

    L = 3W-5

    2 (3W-5) + 2W = 430

    6W-10+2W = 430

    8W = 440

    W = 55 and L = 3 (55) - 5 = 160

    Length = 160 and width = 55 yards

    Step-by-step explanation:

    Perimeter = 2L + 2W where L = the length and W = the width.

    L = 3W - 5 (given).

    So substituting for L is the formula for the perimeter:-

    2 (3W - 5) + 2W = 430

    6W - 10 + 2W = 430

    8W = 440

    W = 55 yards.

    So the Length L = [430 - 2 (55]) / 2 = 160 yards.
