Remove parentheses in the second term: (6 + 2i) - 8 + 3i
Remove parentheses in the first term: 6 + 2i - 8 + 3i
Combine the ' i ' terms: 6 - 8 + 5i
Combine the numerical terms: - 2 + 5i
That's about as simple as it can get.
