In an effort to save the environment, Stacey makes a classroom presentation about how many gallons of water a dripping faucet can waste. If 15 gallons are wasted in three days, and 30 gallons are wasted in six days, what is the rate of change of gallons wasted per day?

    slope = (30 - 15) / (6 - 3) = 15/3 = 5 ... so 5 gallons wasted per day
