Jack gets $20 a month for an allowance. Jack wants to save $6 for the school dance, buy a comic book for $3.50, and buy 2 ice cream cones at $1.25 each. If he puts this money aside, how much money does he have left to spend?

    So Jack would have £12 from the dance, £8.50 from his comic, £6 left altogether

    You answer is $8 because if you do 20-6-3.50-1.25-1.25=8
