What variable expression represents the phrase "the difference of twice a number and 3"?

    C. because x represents "a number" it reads, "the difference ... " and difference means subtracting. Also how would you write twice a number? 2n, it basically means a number times two. But that's not all. You still have to subtract by 3 so its 2n-3.
