So will put this in fraction form.

8 will be the numerator and 10 will be the denominator.

First is you need to find the Greatest Common Factor of the numerator and the denominator then you divide the numerator and the denominator to the GCF and you will know if it's in simplest form if the GCF is 1.

So 8/10 GCF is 2 and if you divide 8/10 divided by 2/2 (because it's their GCF) you get 4/5 and it's in implest form because 4 and 5 doesn't hava a GCF.

Find the highest factor of both ... that can be 2 because 2 goes into both numbers.

Divide the top number and the bottom number by 2

    8/2=4

    10/2=5

    So 4/5
