Which do you think will have a greater value, 1/8 of one pound gold or 1/4 of lead? Why?

if you multiply 1/8 by 4, the fraction become 4/32, and if you multiply 1/4 by 8 you get 8/32. Since both fractions have the same denominator, we can find which fraction has the greater value. Since 1/4 (8/32) has a greater numerator, the 1 pound of lead will have a larger value.
