True or false: when comparing two populations, the larger the standard deviation, the more dispersion the distribution has, provided that the variable of interest from the two populations has the same unit of measure

    The answer to this question would be true.

    If the standard deviation is larger, the dispersion would be higher. Let say that both of the population having a mean age 50. Population A has standard deviation 10. Population B has larger standard deviation which was 20. That mean population A age distribution is about 40-60 (20 difference) but population B age distribution is 30-70 (40 difference). It is clear that population B distribution is more dispersed than A
