A rectangle has the same area as a square. the long side of the rectangle is four times the length of the short side. the perimeter of the square has length 216 mm. how much longer is the perimeter of the rectangle than the perimeter of the square?

    216:4=54 mm is length of the square side

    S=54²=2916 mm² area of the square and rectangle

    L - length of the short side of the rectangle

    S=4L²

    L=√2916:4=27 mm

    P=27*4*2+27*2=270 mm perimeter of the rectangle

    270:216=1.25

    Perimeter of the rectangle longer than perimeter of the square 1.25 times.
