Forty-eight pounds of sand are used to fill 12 bags. Miranda uses the five-step problem-solving plan. After completing the Solve step, how many pounds of sand should she find each bag will hold?

    To find out how much sand is in each bag we need to divide the total number of sand from the total amount of bags Miranda had.

    48 / 12 = 4

    Each bag had 4 pounds of sand it can hold.
