y=0.64+y

total is 2.94

x+y=2.94

subsitute

y=0.64+x

x+0.64+x=2.94

subtract 0.64 form both sides

x+x=2.30

divide by 2

x=1.15

subsiute

y=0.64+x

y=0.64+1.15=1.79
