The length of a rectangle is twice its width.

If the area of the rectangle is 72 in", find its perimeter.

    according to tje question

    length (l) = 2x

    breadth (b) = x

    then,

    to find perimeter

    p=2 (l+b)

    or, 72=2 (2x+x)

    or, 72=2*3x

    or, 72=6x

    or, 72:6=x

    or, 12=x

    then,

    length (l) = 2x=2*12=24in

    breadth (b) = 12in
