    132

    Step-by-step explanation:

    let the number of sweets be 'x'

    amy has 7x and bob gas 4x

    now, the equation can be written as: 7x - 36 = 4x

    7x - 36 = 4x

    7x - 4x = 36

    3x = 36

    x = 36/3 = 12

    so, no. of sweets amy has = 7x = 7*12 = 84

    no. of sweets bob has = 4x = 4*12 = 48

    therefore, no. of sweets in total = 84 + 48 = 132
