    Length = 9

    Width = 3

    Width:

    3x + 3x + x + x = 24

    8x = 24

    X = 3

    Length:

    3 (3) = 9

    3x=length

    3x+x=24

    4x=24

    4x/4=24/4

    x=6

    x=width=6cm

    3x=length=18cm

    18/2=9 cm

    6/2=3cm

    Length=9cm

    width=3cm

    because there are two length sides and 2 width sides
