Harry has to drink 8 fluid ounces * 8 amounts of time = 64 fluid ounces per day. If Harry drinks 1.25 pints * 3 amounts of time = 3.75 pints. Because there is 8 ounces in a cup and 2 cups in a pint there is 16 fluid ounces in a pint. If we have 16 fluid ounces * 3.75 pints = 60 fluid ounces. So Harry did not drink the required amount of water by 4 fluid ounces.
