Subtract 3/7 on both sides
1/2 - 3/7
Multiply until both fractions have the same common denominator
7/14 - 6/14
Subtract the numerators but NOT the denominators
2/3x = 1/14
Divide 2/3 on both sides
1/14 divided by 2/3
Flip the fraction 1/14 to 14/1 while changing the divided sign to multiplication.
14/1*2/3
Multiply
