Each tie costs $25.50, and each hat costs $6.00.

Because 51.00 divided by 2 equals 25.5 (which is the cost for a tie), and 25.5 times 3 equals 76.5. Then 88.50 - 76.50 = 12, and 12/2 equals 6 which is the cost for each hat.
