At the veterinarian's office, 4 animals out of every 5 seen were cats. A total of 35 animals were seen.

a. How many cats were seen?

b. The ratio of male cats seen was 6:7. How many of the cats seen were males?

    A: 28 cats were seen, to find the answer you multiply the ratio, 4:5 by 7 so that the total animals is 35, 28:35

    b:24 cats seen were males, you do this problem similar to the other one. Multiply the ratio by 4 so that the total number of cats is 28, 24:28
