In a group of 26 children, there were 12 girls. Which is the ratio of girls to boys in simplest form?

    26 - 12 = 14 boys

    girls : boys = 12 : 14 = 6 : 7

    In a group of 26 children, 12 are girls ... so this means that : (26 - 12) = 14 are boys.

    so there are 12 girls and 14 boys

    so the ratio of girls to boys is 12/14 which reduces to 6/7 <=
