    The independent variable is the x and the dependent variable is the y. So ur looking for the one that does NOT describe the y value.

    range is all y values ... so its not this

    it is the y values ... not this one

    It is the output ... the output is the y value ... not this one

    it is the x value ... this one is ur answer because it does not describe the dependent variable ... it describes the independent variable.

    The dependent variable is the y-component of the coordinate or referred to as the ordinate (x-component is the abscissa). It is also called the range while the x-component is referred to as the domain. The input is x-component while the output is the x-component. Answer hence is D
