The y-intercept can be found by, using the formula y=mx + b, the y-intercept is b. So - 3x - 9y = 18, move 18 to the other side. So it would be - 3x-9y-18=0. Then add 9y to both sides, so it would become - 3x-18=9y. Next divide both sides by 9. Then the equation would read, - 1/3x-2=y. So the y intercept is - 2
