What is the median of the following set of data?

    0.2, 0.3, 0.4, 0.5, 0.6, 0.7, 0.9

    then find the middle number (the median).

    since there are seven numbers in the data set we divide it, by doing this:

    {0.2, 0.3, 0.4} 0.5 {0.6, 0.7 0.9}

    Therefore, the median for the data set is 0.5!
