Why do the inequality signs stay the same in the last two steps of this question. 3x-5<19

    You would be dividing by a positive number in the last steps. Only when you are dividing or multiplying with a negative number do you change the inequality sign.

    the inequality sign stays the same because you are not multiply or dividing by a negative number.
