The number of calories in a banana is fifteen less than twice the number of calories in an apple of the same weight. Together they have a total of 141 calories. How many calories does each piece of fruit have?

    Let calories present in apple = x

    Then as per the question, calories present in banana = 2x-15

    Total calories = 141

    x+2x-15=141

    3x = 141+15

    3x = 156

    x = 52

    Calories present in apple = 52 calories

    = 104-15 = 89
