0.25 = 1/4
0.75 = 3/4
2.25 = 9/4
6.75 = 27/4
20.25 = 81/4
The denominators are 4 the whole time. We have this sequence for the numerators: 1, 3, 9, 27, 81, ...
The common ratio is 3. We multiply each term of the list mentioned above by 3 to get the next term
